Throwback Thurday with Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder used to package their Pure Color eyeshadows in little cubes that looked like ice cubes with color in the middle.  They also had a lip lacquer packaged the same way.

The adorable mini eyeshadow must have come from a free gift.

There is even a mirror in the cap.

I love the packaging of these, and I think it was quite unique.  The compacts the shadows come in now are chic and everything, but kind of predictable.

  1. This packaging is so beautiful. Maybe not ideal for travel, but much more elegant than typical compacts if it's on display.

  9. Cool!! (I worked at Elizabeth Arden, which had the next counter over, and would play with these when nothing was going on at my counter.)

  12. I love this packaging! I have to admit, only Estee Lauder product I have in my collection is the Double Wear Foundation!

  13. Double Wear is a product from Estee Lauder that I have never tried, which seems odd because it seems like absolutely everybody uses it and loves it. Perhaps I should go get a sample!!

  14. Yes you should definitely go get a sample! It stays on through rain, sleet, snow or Hot Humid Texas days. (Sounds like I am advertising for the USPS. )If you like Matte finishes, you will love it. Sometimes I add a more luminous one with it when I want a more dewy look. Plus, it helps my EL last longer!
