Happy New Year!

To all my dear readers, and the world: Happy New Year!

I took this photo at the Detroit Tigers game I went to in September.

I shall be spending the first day of 2014 watching lots of football bowl games -- most notably the Rose Bowl in which Stanford will be playing Michigan State!  (MSU is my alma mater, and my dad is a physics professor there.)
