Oil Change EotD

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation today.  Cool story, bro.  I felt like doing a really colorful eye using my Disney Ariel Collection Storybook Palette by Sephora after I got home to make the day a little more interesting (no, I didn't have the nerve to wear this to the dealership).

I went a little crazy with the eyeliner.

I used:
from the Disney Ariel Collection Storylook Palette
-- wanderin' free (peachy light copper) on the moving lid

-- sea witch (purple) in the outer corner and crease

-- sebastian (matte peach) up towards the brow to blend out sea witch

-- caspian sea (teal) on the lower lashline

-- sea shells (shimmery ivory) in the inner corner by the tear duct

from left: wanderin' free, sea witch, sebastian, caspian sea, sea shells

   L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara
Physicians Formula Eye Booseter liquid eyeliner in Ultra Black
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Black Velvet (lower waterline)

Using the Ariel palette always makes me happy, but at the same time, I don't want to use it because it's so special.

It's absolutely a privilege to own a car, but sometimes getting around to maintenance type stuff is not particularly fun (#firstworldproblems).  I often put off doing it, although now that I have a car that tells me how much oil life I have left, it will be easier to know how long I can put it off. :P

What were you up to today?

This look is gawgeous! I love the cute little Disney palettes Sephora comes out with. Oil changes are the worst! Last time I went I had to wait an hour before my car is ready. It was a nightmare #firstworldproblems

  2. Super-duper gorgeous! I haven't owned a car in over a decade, but I kind of hated having to deal with the upkeep. At the same time, having a car would have solved a very annoying problem I had just today in which I needed to get out to a certain place on Long Island but couldn't really because it takes about 90 minutes by public transit ... fun days all around!

  3. Oh man! I think that is GORGEOUS. You can absolutely pull that look off.
I agree. Maintenance is a pain, but so well worth it for a "healthy" car. :)

  4. Ooh, gorgeous! Absolutely love that eye shadow combo and the winged liner looks great! I would've totally worn this to the dealership, but I'm a weirdo like that ;)

  6. I was afraid it would take that long for the appointment, so I made sure to bring a book with me. Normally, I would have just gone to Valvoline where you sit in your car during the 10 minute oil change, but my oil changes are free at the dealership for the next couple of years because I bought a certified used car in January.

  7. My brother and his family live on Long Island, and the driving/commuting drives him crazy. I try not to complain to loudly about having a car because I know the alternative can be more frustrating.

  8. Thanks, Jaelan! A "healthy" car is worth the trouble. I feel much safer driving when I know I've taken care of it.

  9. Naw, not a weirdo. I have to remember I never need to apologize for being a glamour girl. Thanks, Jen!

  10. Thank you, Tanya! The palette was from a limited edition collection from a collaboration between Disney and Sephora last summer. I've seen it selling on amazon and ebay for upwards of $100 recently!
