Grungy Gold Eye of the Day

I haven't done a simple floating eyeball post in a while.  This ended up being kind of "dirty gold" because I used a dark brown base (Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bark) on the lid which obviously darkened the gold quite a bit.  I think it looked kind of cool.

I used: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bark (shimmery brown) as a base
from the Urban Decay Naked 1 eyeshadow palette
--- Half Baked (shimmery gold) all over the moving lid and lower lash line
--- Smog (shimmery warm brown) in the crease and outer corner
--- Naked (matte tan) above the crease to blend Smog
--- Virgin (shimmery ivory) under the brow and in the inner corner
--- Darkhorse (shimmery dark brown) as liner on the upper lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On eyeliner in Perversion (black) on the waterlines
          Mally Volumizing Mascara

The Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow stick was a little promo from Sephora.  It is very creamy and pigmented.  It sets quickly but not so quickly that you can't blend it, and it wears nicely.  Really excellent!

Thanks for visiting today!

  2. Thanks, Jennifer!! I've neglected my Naked palette for too long. I forget how much I love that thing.

  3. This is so pretty! I really like gold eyeshadow; it's a fun neutral. How do you like that Mally mascara? It looks great, but I'm just curious about the brand in general. (Please forgive me if you have a review somewhere that I don't remember!)

  5. I really love the Mally mascara. So much that I bought a back up when I had a 20% coupon at Ulta a couple of months ago. I should probably try to review it! I've actually been impressed by the stuff I've tried from her brand (lipgloss, the stick cream eyeshadows, and the poreless face defender). I'm slightly wary of brands that are sold on QVC (yes, I'm a snob that way), but I think her brand is quite good.

  6. Thank you! I cannot tell you how many times I've looked at the stick cream eyeshadows and didn't get them. I'll have to get some things.

  7. The stick cream eyeshadows are tenacious. You have to work kind of quickly to blend them, but they wear allllll day.

  8. This is such a stunning look! And hey, I even have that palette so I can try it out too! I swear Half Baked doesn't look anywhere that lovely on me!
