In no particular order:
NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Palette -- Man, this is a gorgeous palette. My favorite shades are Himalia (rich light golden brown) and Lysithea (gunmetal silver). I also like Andromeda (iridescent ivory) for the inner corner, and Europa (pinky peach) is pretty as a single color wash on the lid. The darkest colors work great as liners when used wet.
NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Panic -- I love how vibrant these shades are in the pan. I haven't tried using either color wet yet, and because they have enough (sometimes too much!) pigment when I use them dry, I don't really plan to try them wet. Plus, I'm not sure how easy blending them on the cheek would be. They leave a beautiful finish with a bit of sheen on the cheeks.
I took the picture of the eyeshadow when I first got it, which is why it is in pristine condition. It ain't pristine no more. |
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick in Pink Dragon (review) -- This neutral pink lipstick is very comfortable and buttery on the lips, and has a wonderful slightly shiny finish. It looks good with everything. Plus it's called Pink Dragon.
LORAC Unzipped Cheek Palette -- The shade selection in this palette is pretty perfect. A neutral pink that goes with everything, a bright cool-toned pink, a shimmering peach, and a slightly shimmery bronze. The blushes have a lot of pigment (especially Unashamed -- the bright pink), so I have to be kind of careful and remember to put a tiny bit on my brush and then tap it off before I actually apply it. I think my favorite shade is Unimaginable. It's a very pretty shimmery light peach. I took this with me to Chicago because of it's versatility.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Brigitte -- Described as a "nude rose" by NARS, this is an incredibly creamy, pigmented, long-wearing warm deep peach lipstick. Simply lovely.
Trip to Chicago (part 1, part 2) -- This was an immensely fun four day trip with my parents and little sister.
Crocuses -- My favorite spring flowers started blooming in the month of March. They make me so happy.
How was March for you? What were some of your favorites?
Finding a good cleanser is definitely worth getting excited about. And maybe even Amtrak, if it's going somewhere good (like Chicago!)
ReplyDeleteThat blush palette from LORAC looks a lot like the new e.l.f. one that people have been raving about. Hmm...curious.
ReplyDeleteThat nars blush palette looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe NARS palettes are so pretty! I definitely want to get some of the new blushes!
ReplyDeleteAh, I came sooo close to picking up the NARS Dual Intensity palette in my recent Sephora haul- the NARS blush duo looks gorgeous too :)

I really enjoyed riding the train. I'd like to do it again sometime soon. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm... very interesting... I'm kind of surprised how often lower-end (does that sound snobby?) dupe the packaging and colors of more expensive brands. Not always a bad thing for the consumer, but I wonder how the brands feel about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's so gorgeous, both in the pan and on the skin.
ReplyDeleteI actually bought another duo (Fervor) during the Sephora sale...
ReplyDeleteI'm just loving the eyeshadow palette so dang much. And the blushes have such a wonderful finish on the skin. I sort of have to force myself to use other stuff.
