Some pretty pictures of what I'm drooling over right now.

Givenchy Terre Exotique Healthy Glow Powder  $66 -- Probably too pretty to use, but doesn't the color also look like it would give a beautiful bronze glow to the skin?

Chantecaille Tiger in the Wild Palette  $78  (really any Chantecaille palette makes me drool) -- The shadows and blush (the shade in the lower left corner is a blush) are tigers!  Tigers!!  The shades also look really wearable.  Probably too pretty to use, too, though.  5% of the proceeds benefit TRAFFIC.

Guerlain Rouge G Le Brilliant Complete Shine Lipcolor in Bianca  $51 -- The packaging is killer.  I can only imaging what it would feel like to pull one of these out of my handbag.  Especially at the opera or somewhere where I'm all fancied up.  Although I'm guessing using this would feel fancy no matter what.

Tom Ford Cheek Color Blush in Love Lust  $57 -- I've heard/seen such great things about the Tom Ford makeup line.  It all has very elegant packaging, and it seems like the colors chosen for the various products are flattering. Christine from Temptalia raves about this blush, so of course it makes me want it even more.

Chantecaille White Tiger Poudre Delicate  $85 -- Again, it's a tiger!  Definitely too pretty to use.  Proceeds benefit TRAFFIC.

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow in The Siren 210  $59 -- Gorgeous rainbow of buttery shadows.  Jen from Vibrant, Vivacious, Veracious Beauty Blog did an amazing look using this palette, which made me want it even more.

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush in Rose Frivole  $40 -- I played with one of these at Sephora and was impressed by the texture and staining power.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat  $41 -- I have never tried this "cult" product that so many people love.  There are plenty of dupes out there these days (L'Oreal and Maybelline make cream illuminators housed in brush-tipped pens), but it would be fun to have the original.

3 Beauty Books On My Wishlist

I have several more books on my Christmas list (a bunch about hominid evolution which I studied in college), but these are on the top of my beauty book wishlist.

The history of makeup fascinates me.

Current Eyeshadow Palette Wish List

I have a wish list as long as all four of my limbs put together right now.  I also have a serious weakness for eyeshadow palettes.  These are the palettes I have been drooling over.


Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 Plush Shadow in The Starlet  $59
The packaging is elegant and sleek (yes, I'm a sucker for pretty packaging).  More importantly, the colors look so rich and awesomely metallic.



bhcosmetics Galaxy Chic Eyeshadow Palette  $14
I saw this on xsparkage a couple of weeks ago, and now I can't stop thinking about it.  (Leesha's post with swatches is here.)  I own maybe one baked eyeshadow and would like to try some others.  The colors in this look amazing--so bright and shimmery!

Kat Von D Ladybird True Romance Eyeshadow Palette  $36
On the other end of the spectrum is a matte palette with mostly neutral colors.  I prefer shimmery shadows to matte, but once in a while it's nice to be able to do a matte, sort of moody look.  The colors in this palette range from nude to warm toned but with couple of cool toned, dark colors.  I've also never tried anything form the Kat Von D line, but have heard really good things about it.

Too Faced Pretty Rebel Eyeshadow Palette  $46

This seems to have a fantastic selection of neutral, brights, and darks.  I can imagine creating so many different kinds of looks with this one.  Plus, every blog post I've read about it says the texture and quality of the shadows are amazing.

LORAC PRO Palette  $42

I've had this one on my wish list for ages.  One row of mattes, and one row of shimmers.  Colors for nude/neutral looks, colors for smokey looks.  LORAC quality shadows.  Brilliant!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Set  $38
This has beautiful shimmery colors that look perfect for fall and winter, as well as some neutral mattes.  It also has an eyeliner, brow pencil, tweezers, and dual ended eyeshadow brush hidden underneath the shadows.  Clever!

I have a birthday coming up and I think I'll be asking for one of these.  Now I have to decide which.  

Sonia Kashuk Wishlist

I have quite a list of items from Sonia Kashuk (available at Target) that I want to try.

Sonia Kashuk® Undetectable Creme Bronzer in Warm Tan ($10.99) -- I've never tried a cream bronzer, and the lack of shimmer and a subtle bronzer color this has is seems like the perfect way to add a hint of color to the face when we start seeing the sun a little less.

Sonia Kashuk® Satin Luxe Lip Color SPF 16 in Blushing ($9.99) -- This looks like an easy to wear rosy pink (with sunscreen!). 

Sonia Kashuk® Chic Luminosity Bronzer/Blush Duo in Glisten ($12.99) -- Alligator embossing on shimmery blush and bronzer!

Sonia Kashuk® Limited Edition "Jewel of an Eye" Eye Couture ($19.99) -- These jewel toned eyeshadows look like perfect autumn colors to me.

Sonia Kashuk® Core Tools Synthetic Buffing Brush - No 130 ($12.99) -- Looks like this brush would go beautifully with that cream bronzer...
