Grungy Gold Eye of the Day
I haven't done a simple floating eyeball post in a while. This ended up being kind of "dirty gold" because I used a dark brown base (Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bark) on the lid which obviously darkened the gold quite a bit. I think it looked kind of cool.

Back Home Look of the Day
So, in case you didn't notice, I was out of town much of last week. I was staying with my parents while my sister was visiting from Wisconsin. I don't get to see her much, so I wanted to stay a few days and really spend some time with the fam. We had a lovely time hanging out, shopping, watching westerns (my dad is a big fan), and shoveling snow. I actually came home on Friday, but I didn't feel like blogging until today (I don't generally blog on the weekends for some reason, and I may have been feeling a little blue that my sis is going back to Wisconsin). I also realized how easy it is to get out of the blogging habit. Anyhow, I'm back and have my computer available, so posts should resume and you can look forward to looking at my face again.
Here is today's face:
Eyes: Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 7 eyeshadow palette #204 The Starlet
-- metallic silver all over the moving lid and tear duct
-- shimmery mushroomy grey taupe type color in the crease and
outer corner and lower lashline
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Naked to blend out the crease
Wet 'n' Wild eyeshadow single in Brulee under the brow
Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner in Ultra Black
Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara
Cheeks: NARS Laguna Bronzer to contour
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface just on the apples of the cheeks
Lips: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick in Perfect Blossom (discontinued)
I think this eye makeup may be a little over the top metallic-wise, but it's sort of cool and futuristic.
Have a beautiful day!

Naked 3 EotD/FotD and a Personal Update
I'm really enjoying my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. It's an easy, everyday, goes with everything palette.
Eyes: Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal 24HR eyeshadow in Inked in Pink
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette -- Burnout all over the lid
Buzz and Nooner in the outer corner and crease
Strange by the tear duct
Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara
Cheeks: Josie Maran Cheek Gelee in Poppy Paradise
Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar
Lips: Maybelline Color Sensational The Elixir lipgloss in Petal Plush
On a personal note:
In case you were curious, I was out of town without my laptop last week, which is why I didn't post for a few days. I was busy with this:
Yep. I bought a new (used) car (a 2013 Chevy Cruze). I had to say goodbye to my 15 year-old Saturn Coupe, which made me quite sad. I loved that little red car -- it was a stick shift, had a sun roof, and was generally kind of sporty. But, cars don't last forever, and it was definitely time (possibly past time) to trade it in.
I haven't named my new car yet, but my old car was named Eloise (one my favorite childhood literary characters).

Goodbye Eloise! |
I'm getting all teary-eyed.
