I used:
from the Kat Von D Chrysalis Eyeshadow Palette
--- Glasswing (matte dark tan) in the crease
--- Melancholia (shimmery metallic pewter) on the inner 2/3 of lid and lower lashline
--- Graphic Nature (dark shimmery grey) on the outer 1/3 of lid and lightly in the crease
--- Lifelike (matte cream) under the brow
from the Kat Von D Monarch Palette
--- Telepathy (shimmery platinum) in the inner corner by the tear duct
--- Deadhead (matte black) as liner on the upper and lower lashlines
from left: Glasswing, Melancholia, Graphic Nature, Lifelike, Deadhead, Telepathy |
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Perversion on the waterlines
Mally Voluminizing Mascara in Black
On my nails, I wore Butter London's Queen Vic with Butter London's Lovely Jubbly on top.
Lovely Jubbly is an awesome sparkle bomb with multi-colored glitter.
This is only one coat of Lovely Jubbly! It has sooooo much glitter. |
You can probably expect a birthday haul post in the near future...
Have a wonderful day!
Very beautiful! And, happy birthday!! I never sprung for the new KVD palettes, but it looks like they really have some awesome shades in there. I guess just don't find the shade selections in them to be "just right" for me.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Ingrid! Why aren't you in the make-up business? You are soooo good at it!
ReplyDeleteYour makeup looks gorgeous and I love your nails. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erin! I went a little crazy for the Kat Von D palettes when they were released this spring, but I don't regret it. Hopefully they will release more with shades more to your liking (and keep the good quality)!
ReplyDeleteI used to work at Sephora and I worked for Elizabeth Arden at Marshall Field's years ago. Part of me misses working in the cosmetic industry, but I have to admit, I'm more comfortable applying makeup to my own face than someone else's.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the birthday wishes!
Thanks, Tanya. I can't stop looking at my nails.
ReplyDeleteThe metallic silver is perfectly festive! Glad you got to go out and celebrate :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jennifer! We had a great time, even if we did go overboard on the food!
ReplyDeleteOh, I can see why so many people loved your makeup...it's beautiful! I haven't been into getting all of the palettes that come out lately, but these two from Kat Von D look really special and different.
ReplyDeleteWhen these debuted in the spring I went a little crazy and bought them both.. It's been totally worth it for me because I use them and enjoy them so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lauren!!
